Mark Bentley, PGCert, FHEA, is a communications data expert and cyber security risk consultant with 38 years of experience as a detective, including service with the National Crime Agency (NCA), the Metropolitan Police and national security organizations.

He is a Subject Matter Expert for UserSearch.com, an Industry Fellow and Cyber Lecturer at the University of West London, and the author of the best-selling Cyber Investigators Handbook. He advises and trains governments, police forces and private-sector organizations worldwide in OSINT, dark web investigations, digital profiling and AI risk.

Mark also lectures for the Council of Europe, UNODC and the UK College of Policing, helping organizations understand complex cyber threats and their implications for business risk.
